SF Environmental Trust was established in November 2017 to promote technologies and products which reduce carbon emissions and have a positive impact on the communities in which they are used.

Our objectives are as follows:

Sustainable development

(ie Development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.)

To promote sustainable development for the benefit of the public by:

(a) the preservation, conservation and the protection of the environment and the prudent use of resources;

(b) the relief of poverty and the improvement of the conditions of life in socially and economically disadvantaged communities;

(c) the promotion of sustainable means of achieving economic growth and regeneration.

To advance the education of the public in subjects relating to sustainable development and the protection, enhancement and rehabilitation of the environment and to promote study and research in such subjects provided that the useful results of such study are disseminated to the public at large.

Relief of poverty

The prevention or relief of poverty in developing countries by providing: grants, items and services to individuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty.

We will achieve through the following activities:

* Carry out research into technologies that can help impoverished communities in the developing world. Examples of this are products that will reduce the use of firewood thus saving money and time for users while also reducing deforestation.

* Build prototypes for evaluation ensuring that the final product can be built locally in the countries where they are used. This will provide useful local employment and encourage self-reliance.

*  Raise funds in order to make these products available to low-income households. We will work with local partners to manufacture the products, identify suitable recipients, provide training and monitor progress.

*   Distribute literature to promote these technologies and products to a wide audience. Description of the technologies, benefits and plans for building prototypes will be available on this web site.
